A book mixing theory and practical use cases:

I (Amlal El Mahrouss) just received my reviewer’s copy of ‘Distributed AI Systems’ from Packt, authored by Fuheng Wu.

An industry veteran and book best-seller with a lot to teach about production distributed systems.

Right off the bat, the book’s chapters, with specific chapters on each component of a computer architecture, are really well organized; you will read from the CPU to the GPU, down to the new Tensors and Neural Processing Units.

What really stands out is the focus on communications, CUDA, and hardware buses. In my experience, most distributed-system bottlenecks come from this.

Moreover, it is a pure 100+ pages of theory and practical exercises using models such as DeepSeek and industry languages such as CUDA.

One has to, however, get a really solid grasp of Computer Science fundamentals before tackling such a dense book.

In conclusion: This is a must-have for any software architect or engineer serious about deploying AI distributed systems or low-level systems software in production.
